DISCIPLINE

At Seven Square Academy, Thane we believe each child has a unique temperament. The policy outlines necessary procedures to safeguard the right of each child in a secure environment, provide for a positive approach in promoting suitable student behavior, and discourage unacceptable behavior. The policy focus is on behavior modification and change from undesirable behavior to desirable behavior and not on ‘punishment. Effective execution of the discipline policy at Seven Square Academy, Thane will be a collaborative effort of the school staff, parents, and students Pupils are responsible to the school authorities for their conduct outside and inside the classroom and the school campus. Hence any act of continued indiscipline, disobedience, nuisance and disrespect towards classmates, teachers & members of the staff will be dealt strictly and will attract action which may result to expulsion of child from the school.

Learning and change happens best in a positive and motivating environment. Children who grow up with understood boundaries and expectations become responsible and caring adults who contribute to society in a meaningful way.

We encourage consequences that help modify the behavior from within. These could be in the form of:

Praise and reward :
Giving praise, recognition and encouragement for good work or behaviour, in class or in school reports.

Defining and encouraging desirable behaviour:
Teaching students to understand the importance of school rules, by conducting workshops that may be required which may include programmes on awareness on drug abuse, conflict resolution or anger management.
